Carolyn Mancuso
M.A., R.B.A. (Ont.), BCBA, Executive Director
Carolyn is our Executive Director and founder at Ignite. She is a Registered Behaviour Analyst (Ont.) and a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) who has been working with children with developmental disabilities since 2010. Since completing her Master’s Degree, in Applied Behaviour Analysis, she has supervised IBI programs in both Southern and Northern Ontario, has had her research published in the Journal of Applied Behaviour Analysis (JABA) and currently sits on the Northern Collaborative Capacity Building Advisory Committee. Carolyn is energized by finding creative ways to teach new skills and help each individual learner reach their goals.
Dominique
Dominique started her journey in the field of ABA in 2008. She quickly discovered a great passion and joy in working with children and families. Throughout the years she has worked in various roles, including: Instructor Therapist, Behaviour Consultant, and Lead ABA Therapist. Dominique joined our team in 2019. She is energized by supporting caregivers through sharing her knowledge of ABA with them!
Chloe
Chloe was thrilled to join the Ignite team in March 2021. She holds a diploma in Performing Arts from the Canadian College of Performing Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology degree from Lakehead University. Chloe is currently pursuing education through Florida Tech University’s ABA Online program. Chloe found her passion in 2018 when she started working and volunteering with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. At Ignite she enjoys being her authentic self and bringing laughs to every session!
Emily
Emily joined the Ignite team in 2020. She holds a diploma in Early Childhood Education from Confederation College and has been working with children, and their families, since 2014. Emily is passionate about helping the children she works with learn through exploring their creativity and curiosity.
Michelle
Michelle joined the Ignite team in spring of 2021 after she graduated from Lakehead University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She is passionate about working one-on-one with our kiddos every day and finding out what works best for each of them individually. Michelle loves seeing the day to day progress they make along with the major milestones they achieve.
Riley
Riley is a Registered Early Childhood Educator who joined the Ignite team in 2021. She holds a diploma in Early Childhood Education and a certificate in Autism and Behavioural Sciences from Confederation College. She has been working with children, and their families, since 2017. Riley loves seeing, and sharing in the excitement with her client’s when they learn something new!
Gillian
Gillian joined the Ignite team in fall 2021 after graduating from Lakehead University in the spring with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She enjoys watching the clients she works with grow, creating unique connections with each kiddo and seeing the big smiles on their faces each day.
Hannah
Hannah joined the Ignite team in the spring of 2022 after graduating from Lakehead University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She has volunteered with children for many years and is excited to continue her journey with Ignite. Hannah loves helping kids reach their goals no matter how big or small!
Sarah
Sarah joined the Ignite team in fall 2021. She has been working in the field of ABA with children and their families since 2011 and has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Manitoba. Sarah’s favourite part of her role is seeing the children she works with empowered to communicate their wants and needs to those around them!
Sayshell
Sayshell joined the Ignite team in summer 2022. She is an Early Childhood Educator who has had a passion for working with children since becoming a big sister. Sayshell began working with children in 2018 and is passionate about supporting them to become their most creative and curious selves. After working in childcare with children who needed extra supports she knew this was the right path for her. At Ignite, she is passionate about learning new things and expanding her knowledge through real life experiences. Sayshell’s favourite part of her role is seeing the excitement in her client’s eyes as they learn each new skill!
Sydney
Sydney joined the Ignite team in the spring of 2023. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Lakehead University and a certificate in Addictions and Mental Health from Confederation College. Having three sisters of her own, the choice to work with children was simple, a definite yes. Being a part of the fun and creativity is what sparks joy in Sydney and she is always excited to experience the new with each individual kiddo.
Kayla
Hannah
Hannah joined the Ignite team in the fall of 2023. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Indigenous Studies from Brock University. Having a younger sibling who is on the spectrum ignited Hannah’s passion for education and working with special needs children. Hannah’s favourite part of her role is sharing the excitement with each child as they learn or try something new.
